What we ask the people you speak for.
What they answer, what their employer sees, and what it cannot see. A factual account of the scan, for you to check.
Five facts about the scan
- 01The employer never sees an individual employee's answers, only combined results.
- 02Employee results combine answers from at least five people.
- 03For scans of up to 20 people, this can drop to three or four.
- 04Leaders' and managers' answers can show even when only one person answered.
- 05Fixed rules produce the scores, not an AI model or anyone's judgement.
Before you advise
The questions we ask people
Employees answer 60 to 62. HR answers 34.
Three questions from the scan:
- For a small experiment: how many people need to approve it?
- How well does your daily work connect to the organization's innovation priorities?
- The last time you needed expertise from another team, how easy was it to get?
Nothing about performance. Nothing about colleagues by name. Some questions invite a short written remark, which your organization reads without your name.
What the invitation says
- We send each invitation on behalf of a colleague at the employer.
- Replies to the invitation go to the colleague who sent it.
- The invitation says how many questions there are, and why each person is asked.
- Anyone can say no with one click in the invitation.
- The employer sees who was invited and how many answered.
- The employer does not see which employees answered.
- People who have not completed the scan get one reminder after five days.
Article 27
In the Netherlands it usually falls under article 27 of the Works Councils Act. Before a scan opens, the employer answers a works council question. The answer is either “We consulted our works council” or “We have no works council”. We record the answer. We do not verify it.
Questions for your employer, not for us
- Why this scan, and why now.
- Who they invited, and in which teams.
- Who reads the report, and what happens with it.
- Whether the employer lowered the minimum to three or four, and why.
